Meals & today's menu

Meals opens on three cards.

#CardWhat it opens
1Meal planThe plan you are following, the plans you built, and suggestions — see Meal plans.
2Today’s mealsToday’s menu, logged right there. The highlighted card.
3HistoryPast meals and how they are trending.

The Meal plan card shows “Following: …” when a plan is running. The Today’s meals card carries a live line — “3/4 meals logged”, “All meals logged”, or “Your plan has a menu waiting for today”.

Today’s meals is today, and nothing writes itself onto it.

If you are following a plan, that plan offers today’s menu on a card with its dishes listed. You take it, or you plan something else. Until you take it, those dishes are not your food and are not counted as eaten or skipped — an untaken menu will never read as “0/4 meals logged”.

With no plan running, or on a day the plan leaves empty, you simply log what you ate.

One set of numbers sits at the top of today, and only there:

  • Calories left against your target.
  • Meals eaten, out of the meal times on today’s menu.
  • Protein, carbs and fat as bars against their targets.

Where those targets come from, and what happens when they stop fitting, is in Your nutrition targets.

A day is made of meal times — Breakfast, Lunch, a custom name of your own — and each meal time holds foods.

  • I ate this logs a meal time. It then reads Eaten.
  • Add another meal adds a new meal time to today — a snack, a second dinner.
  • Add food adds to a meal time that already exists.
  • Remove takes a whole meal time off today. Today only: the plan itself stays as it is, and you can add it back. You are asked to confirm first.

A day your plan leaves empty reads as eat freely. It is not a missed day, it does not count against you, and you can still log anything you had.

Every day takes a note — “Swapped the rice for potatoes — felt better before training.”

The app is explicit about who reads it: “Your coach can see this” when someone coaches you, “Only you can see this” when nobody does.

You can log today, and you can still fix yesterday. Adding food to a day older than yesterday is refused — a food diary that can be rewritten a week later is not a record of anything.

History carries two ways onward at the top:

  • See trends — is the plan being followed?
  • Share today — your nutrition as a card.

Under them, a calendar reaching back to the first meal you ever logged, and a list carrying the per-meal detail and your notes for recent days.

Trends is the only screen that answers whether the plan is being followed over time, rather than what happened on one day: your nutrition over the last 30 days, and how closely each period tracked its targets.

Meals log without a signal and sync when you reconnect — see Working offline.
